Client brief

The client desired a moody, high-end bathroom but was uncertain about the core material palette. We were tasked with visualizing a single, fixed layout across three distinct surfacing options to help them decide. Each concept maintained a foundation of warm integrated lighting, rose gold/copper hardware, and a floating vanity, allowing the focus to remain purely on the material's impact on ambiance and style.

Bathroom — Classic Black Marble

This concept wraps the floors, walls, and vanity in a rich, dark marble with dramatic veining to evoke a classic, ultra-luxurious hotel ambiance.

Surfacing
Floors, walls, and vanity are finished in a rich, deeply veined dark grey or black marble.
Veining
The stone features dramatic natural white and silver veins.
Lighting
The glossy marble surface catches the warm LED light from the backlit mirror beautifully.
Fixtures
The design is grounded by premium rose gold/copper hardware.
Vanity
A custom floating vanity structure is used.

Bathroom — Muted Grey Terrazzo

This variation transitions the entire bathroom into a uniform grey terrazzo, creating an industrial yet refined minimalist tone.

Surfacing
A uniform grey terrazzo with fine, dense stone aggregates is used throughout the space.
Mood
The monochromatic surface creates a serene, understated, and modern sanctuary with a minimalist tone.
Contrast
The muted grey allows the warm copper fixtures and green foliage to stand out sharply.
Fixtures
The design is grounded by premium rose gold/copper hardware.
Vanity
A custom floating vanity structure is used.

Bathroom — Eclectic Black Terrazzo

This alternative explores a bold, dark terrazzo base infused with large, multicolored fragments, introducing a playful, artistic, and contemporary vibe.

A bold, dark terrazzo base infused with large, multicolored fragments including terracotta, ochre, and cream stone chunks.
Color Harmony
Warm terracotta flecks in the stone complement the rose gold trim of the glass shower enclosure and wall faucets.
Mood
The material choice creates a cohesive, expressive, and avant-garde design with a playful, artistic energy.
